Avenida Central’s transformation is already underway, with wider sidewalks, new green spaces, and improved connections to the Metro and Cinta Costera revitalizing this historic corridor.

There's a difference between a neighborhood that's hoping to improve and one that already has the contracts signed. Avenida Central is the latter.

Over the past several months, the Mayor's office has been working directly with local businesses to incentivize the restoration of facades along the corridor leading toward La Central. That effort hasn't stayed at the grassroots level — it's been matched from the top down. The City has awarded three significant contracts to rebuild sidewalks and reconnect the Cinta Costera experience to both the Metro station and Avenida Central itself.

The numbers give a sense of scale: more than 1.25 kilometers of streets are being rebuilt, sidewalks are being widened with pedestrians prioritized over cars, and the project adds close to 5,000 square meters of new green space to a part of the city that has historically had very little of it.

Gran Central sits at the exact center of this transformation. It's the easiest entry point into the historic district — by bus, by car, on foot, by bike, and yes, even by rollerblade, if that's your preferred mode of transport along the Cinta Costera. Few private developments get to benefit from this kind of deliberate, well-funded public investment happening in their own front yard.

It's a reminder that when you evaluate a place to live or invest, the surrounding infrastructure matters as much as the building itself. A $17M public commitment to the streets around you is not a marketing claim — it's a matter of public record, and it's already underway.
